OVERVIEW

Hydrosols are liquid plant extracts that are usually aromatic and have therapeutic properties. Two Latin words: hydro meaning water and sol or solution, that is, the water solution that contains some of the water-soluble micro-molecules of essential oil as well as water-soluble plant components.

Our organic hydrosols or flower waters are produced by steam-distilling plant or flower material. They are distilled in a complete sterilized environment, guaranteeing microbiological cleanliness in copper alembic stills;producing a sweeter hydrosol and also a more stable one. We use pure spring, or well water for our hydrosols. Which is of utmost importance for a hydrosol. They have similar properties to their essential oil counterparts, but are much less concentrated.

Our hydrosols are 100% natural, organic and contains no chemical preservatives. They are stored in sterilized clear glass bottles in our dark cold room until an order is placed.

Coriander (C. sativum L.) belonging to the family Umbelliferae/Apiaceae is a glabrous aromatic, herbaceous annual plant, which has a long history as a culinary herb being the source of aroma compounds and EOs with biologically active components possessing antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant activities. Our Coriander hydrosol has a soft, sweet aroma with a hint of aniseed. It is constituted of compounds like Borneol, Cineole, Cymene, Dipentene, Linalool, Phellandrene, Pinene, Terpineol and Terpinolene, the causes behind its medicinal properties.

Our hydrosols are also nitrogen capped just like our essential oils and extracts, so they remain just as therapeutic as the day they were distilled and the shelf life is extended dramatically. They possesses biological properties like antifungal, antibacterial and antioxidant which makes them safe to use. Our Coriander Hydrosol is of the best quality. It should be kept in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended if you are not going to use your hydrosol quickly.
