Yes, our oils come from plants grown in their indigenous locations (where they grow naturally).

We have direct buying relationships with our trusted suppliers which are located all over the world as each individual oil needs different climate, altitude, water, elevations, etc. They are extracted in the countries they were grown in. Our buyers visit these facilities often to ensure high quality/ standards are being met.

Arunima's website is the best place to find important information. Each product page contains in-depth information about that product. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us.

Some reasons for colour variation include:

  • 1) Aroma chemicals, essential oils, and absolutes may inherently contain colour.
  •
  • 2) Oxidation can cause a fragrance to discolour. We recommend you keep your containers properly sealed and as full as possible. The use of nitrogen for preservation will extend the life of your oils and limit oxidation.

Essential oils are oils that are derived from botanicals or plants via steam distillation or cold press process.

All Natural Fragrances are fragrances that are comprised of essential oils and natural ingredients.

Fragrance oils are oils that can include essential oils, natural fragrances, and synthetic aroma chemicals.

GC/MS stands for Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry. In simple terms, a GC/MS separates an essential oil into individual components. The oil is vaporized upon entry into the device, and the oil passes through a column assisted by a carrier gas (usually helium or hydrogen). The column itself sits within an oven; here change in heat over time is managed. Different chemical compounds react at different speeds within the column, and this information is captured on the Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry.

Flashpoint is the lowest temperature at which liquid in a specified apparatus will give off sufficient vapor to ignite momentarily on application of flame.

This means that the temperature at which the liquid in its vessel is exposed to/surrounded by cannot exceed this lowest temperature, or flashpoint, which becomes a concern when shipping.

There are rules for air and ground shipping based on the item's flashpoint.
