OVERVIEW

Hydrosols are liquid plant extracts that are usually aromatic and have therapeutic properties. Two Latin words: hydro meaning water and sol or solution, that is, the water solution that contains some of the water-soluble micro-molecules of essential oil as well as water-soluble plant components.

Our organic hydrosols or flower waters are produced by steam-distilling plant or flower material. They are distilled in a complete sterilized environment, guaranteeing microbiological cleanliness in copper alembic stills;producing a sweeter hydrosol and also a more stable one. We use pure spring, or well water for our hydrosols. Which is of utmost importance for a hydrosol. They have similar properties to their essential oil counterparts, but are much less concentrated.

Our hydrosols are 100% natural, organic and contains no chemical preservatives. They are stored in sterilized clear glass bottles in our dark cold room until an order is placed.

The entire plant of Dill including the seeds, leaves and twigs are equally important and carry the same flavor and aroma. The well known antimicrobial properties of this herb compel the use of Dill seeds in this planet for the preservation of food. Our Dill seed Hydrosol has a sweet, warm, herbaceous and slightly spicy aroma. It is rare in its elastin-boosting abilities. It also has strong antioxidant properties allowing the skin to be better able to withstand the effect of free radicals in the environment reversing the effects of aging.

Our hydrosols are also nitrogen capped just like our essential oils and extracts, so they remain just as therapeutic as the day they were distilled and the shelf life is extended dramatically. They possesses biological properties like antifungal, antibacterial and antioxidant which makes them safe to use. Our Dill Seed Hydrosol is of the best quality. It should be kept in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended if you are not going to use your hydrosol quickly.
