OVERVIEW
Menthol Crystal is one of the highly popular mint products, carefully crafted 100% natural product, that originate from Mentha arvensis crop. Also known as Cornmint, Wild Mint, Field Mint, Japanese Mint, Chinese Mint, or Brazilian Mint, the Mentha arvensis plant is the main mint variety that is used to obtain Menthol Crystals as well as natural Menthol flakes.
Menthol is obtained by subjecting the distilled oil to a temperature of -22ºC by aid of a freezing mixture; the menthol crystallizes out in satiny crystals. The crystals are crystalline in form, more oblong, similar to rock crystals. They are clear to white with cooling, refreshing, and have a pleasantly strong minty aroma. Menthol Crystals appear to be either colorless or white in their natural state at room temperature. The crystals begin to melt and easily dissolve in essential oils, water or alcholos at temperature above room temperature.
Arunima pays special attention while manufacturing as this product requires special care, so, that it cannot come in direct contact with sunlight or other harmful dust particles, which may affect its effectiveness. Menthol crystals are suitable for use in perfumes, cosmetics, balms, lotions, shampoos ,conditioners, medicated creams, throat lozenges, toothpaste, mouthwash, gum, foot sprays, pain relief and cooling gels.
